What to Expect During a Patio Installation

Before the Job:

• Burton’s Construction takes care of getting utilities marked before concrete construction projects
• Home owners are responsible for making sure that your personal property, including grills, lawn mowers, chairs, tables, equipment, etc. are away from the work area. 
• Two trucks and a trailer will need to be able to pull up along the front of your house to load/unload equipment and materials.

During the Job:

• Tear out, remove, and dispose of debris. (dirt, grass, pavers or concrete)
• Establish the grade
• Place base rock
• Set forms rails
• Layout and tie rebar
  

  

• Place 4” of concrete
  
• Cut expansion joints
• Broom finish
• Spray concrete and seal
  
• Optional: saw cut designs
• Optional: color
• Deform the slab
• Place backfill dirt
• Clean up

After the Job:

• Please don’t put furniture or grills on your new patio for 7-10 days.
• The cure and seal is good for 2 to 3 years. After this time, you will need to reseal it.
